About OKTAV
OKTAV is a leading digital platform for learning and playing music.
"We believe playing music should be a fun and motivating part of life and everyone should be able to play the music they love."
Founded in 2018, OKTAV (oktav.com) helps musicians discover, learn and play music they love. Starting with piano, OKTAV has grown into a multi-instrument platform and expanded to violin in 2026.
Piano players can choose from more than 20,000 officially licensed sheet music arrangements, 100+ video courses and tutorials, as well as a large selection of learning material including method books, videos and articles. For violin players, OKTAV offers a growing selection of officially licensed sheet music and learning material for different levels and musical styles.
All sheet music and learning material are officially licensed from renowned partners like the Universal Music Publishing Group, Sony Music Publishing, Kobalt Music, Faber Music, Schott Music, Alfred Music, Baerenreiter, Oxford University Press, and others.
OKTAV is available on the web and through apps for piano and violin.
"A slick subscription site that presents sheet music as kind of interactive PDFs. It feels more authentic than the gamier apps" - The Guardian, 14/3/2024
