A Violin Solo arrangement is written for one violin playing on its own, although it may also include a piano accompaniment you can play along with. A Duet is written for two violins, so you can play it with your teacher or another player. Multiple means the piece is arranged for violin together with one or more other instruments.
Violin arrangements are sorted into five levels: Early Beginner, Beginner, Ambitious, Advanced and Virtuoso. The level is shown next to each arrangement, so you can see at a glance whether a piece suits you. If you are just starting out or coming back to the violin, look for the lower levels and work your way up.
The level always describes the violin part — the first instrument listed in the arrangement. On a piece arranged for violin and piano the rating is for the violin, so you know what to expect from your own part before you start.
